Protego Labs has won the Startup Competition for the most innovative cyber initiative at the Cybertech Tel Aviv 2018 Conference. The competition, powered by YL Ventures, selects the startup that suggests an innovative technology or groundbreaking solution, and demonstrates the best potential to become a successful company.

In addition to the accolades, Protego Labs won two entry tickets and airfare to the RSA conference, the information security industry’s largest annual event.

Applications were reviewed and ranked by a panel of judges, including Cybertech, and YL Ventures. The top four ranked startups were invited to participate in an on-stage competition at the Cybertech Conference. Competition for Protego included D-ID, face recognition protection; empow, security automation and orchestration; and Perimiter81, formerly SaferVPN, software defined perimeter. The judging panel was comprised of six judges, all international cybersecurity experts and partners of leading American VC firms that invest in early-stage cybersecurity companies.
The annual CyberTech conference, one of the largest gatherings of cybersecurity professionals in the world, was held 29-31 January in Tel Aviv and attracted some 15,000 attendees, including representatives from over 200 companies and 160 international delegations from 80 countries.
